The food was so good. So much flavor, crispy salmon bites, juicy chicken, the best collard greens ever, and the Mac n cheese was delish. Loved the candied yams. I would get those for dessert next time. 10/10, will come back!!

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad we found Yolonda's Place in Kokomo. Amazing southern soul food - we had jerk chicken, ribs, green beans, and cabbage. It was all so delicious! I'm delighted that the portions were so big that I get to enjoy the rest of mine again tomorrow! Hubby now wishes he ordered a full rack of ribs so he could do the same! ;)

I’ve gone here twice with my friend, and the food has been amazing. We’ve both loved every dish that we’ve tried, and we’re yet to find one we don’t like. I can say with absolute confidence that it’s the best food in Kokomo, and that everyone should try it. The owner and staff were extremely personable and kind. Before me and my friend got done eating, we were given free kool-aid and the owner talked to us and explained why he opened the restaurant. It’s an extraordinary place filled with wonderful people.

I am not sure I can do Yolanda’s Place justice in a review - but I am honored to get to try! We visited on 10/19 - and good thing it was a Sunday - because their food was a religious experience! The jerk chicken had a flavor so well developed - you can taste the legacy that inspired this little restaurant. Their mac n cheese put every church lady I have ever known to shame. The catfish & candied yams were perfection - and the collared greens were out of this world with the smoked turkey. Melted butter served with the cornbread was a nice touch - even though my cornbread didn’t even need it! Hidden gem I cannot wait to visit again! The service was like hanging out with your fun family members you do not get to see often enough!

Finally a meal with FLAVOR! Mac n cheese was well seasoned and the jerk chicken was tender and packed full of flavor. We will absolutely be back!

I’m homeless, I rarely eat anything outside of ramen noodles or McDonald’s $5 meal deals today I wanted to eat good. I chose this over my car having a full tank of gas. I in no way shape or form regret it. I spent my last dollar here and didn’t even have enough the lady really helped me out. It was my first time and the food is OUTSTANDING. Absolutely full of flavor with each bite. Thank you to the kind woman who helped me have a great meal tonight.

We visited as a family and were blown away by the flavor in every single bite, and the service was truly top-notch from start to finish. We ordered the jerk chicken and turkey ribs (they were out of pork ribs, but honestly the turkey ribs were phenomenal and didn’t disappoint at all). The kids had the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved them. The sides were just as impressive: rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was amazing, the cornbread was spot on, and the green beans, collard greens, and dirty rice were all outstanding. You can tell everything is made with care and pride. We’ll definitely be back, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
